Welcome to the practice! Whether you are a patient, parent, or friend, I am happy to meet you and help you in any way that I can. I am proud to be a second-generation orthodontist, carrying on my father's tradition and working in the same location in which he practiced for over 30 years.

Ever since I was young, I knew I would follow in my father's footsteps. As a child, I would spend time at the office, watching my dad as he worked with his patients. As soon as I was old enough, I started working in the office, and almost instantly, I knew I wanted to become an orthodontist. I love seeing all of the wonderful smiles that come into our practice, and enjoy the relationships that we've built with our patients over the years. It's so rewarding to work with patients who are not very confident with their smiles; and to give them a smile that they love to share with the world!

Education

Before stepping into the practice as an orthodontist, I spent many years between school and orthodontic residencies gaining the knowledge and experience I needed in order to provide my patients with the best quality care.

My education began at Pomona College where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Literature.  I went on to attend the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, earning my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Continuing my education, I attended Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon to earn my certificate in orthodontics.

I regularly attend continuing education courses throughout the year as a way to stay current with the latest advances in orthodontic treatments and technique. I am a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Contra Costa Dental Society, and the Bay Area Orthodontic Study Group which offer continuing education opportunities.

In addition to being an orthodontist...

I love to spend time waterskiing, snow skiing, and traveling with my husband and 2 sons.  I also enjoy watching the boys play baseball and soccer!  In my down time, I enjoy a good book.
